Jan 6 Capitol building was NOT a riot

The crowd didn't rush the building; they patiently strolled in when security allowed them. It seems sadly that the security fatalities were accidental due to too many people going through a small entrance.

Anyone can enter the House and Senate chambers; audience seating is provided so people can listen in to proceedings and participate peacefully in the democratic process.

The vandalism was wrong, the security fatalities were unacceptable, and stealing the speaker's podium was horrible. These should be prosecuted.

But putting fencing around Capitol Hill blocks citizens from participating in democracy and is also unacceptable. Congress has shown they are not serving or listening to their constituents.

Lastly, contrast this with the ANTIFA and BLM riots throughout the cities, which left businesses looted and burning, and a shopkeeper beaten into deformity.

I suspect the matching on the capital was intentionally blown out of proportion so they could tighten security and restrict public access. It makes it easier for them to circumvent the law and get away with all sorts of shady ѕhit.
