Incels: Why are relationships even worh the trouble?

Just thought I'd ask. I've been told I'm reasonably attractive, even had a couple girls with some interest in me back in high school, but why bother when I'd honestly rather just watch porn and browse the internet all day? I love having unlimited "me time" and never having to worry about the wants, needs, or concerns of anyone other than myself. Never been in a relationship and I prefer it this way anyways. So honestly, why do you even want a girlfriend if you don't even feel like girls like you? What would make it worth it to you?

I think the best part of having a relationship is having someone you can talk to about anything and if you can find a person that you can be open and honest with it can be an extension of yourself.

Plus getting in relationships gets you valuable skills with talking to women. (Disclosure I’ve only ever been in one relationship and it was nice for a while but I was never open with her so that’s why it didn’t work out)

If you really don't care about getting into a relationship with a girl, then you are not the norm. There are aromantics out there who don't have romantic attraction, but they are very rare ... most humans want to have intimacy with someone else, at least at some point in their life.

Wanting an intimate relationship with a girl has primitive roots ... it goes beyond logical or strategic thoughts like "since girls don't like me, I should just turn off my desire for girls" ... it doesn't work like that ... you can't just turn off your desire for women any more than you can turn off hunger, knowing when you need to poop or the feeling that an infant looks cute ... those are primitive urges/emotions that you can't just shut down at will using higher forms of thinking such as logic or arithmetic.

Because after all I've been through in life, the least I deserve is someone who loves me. I'm not a bad person but am treated like I am because of my looks and not acting like a fucking stereotype.

Meanwhile molesters and other scum of the earth can find love and not reap the consequences of what they've done. Fuck that. I've lost every family member I've cared about, the few friends I've ever had, and the women I've ever cared about. It's not right. I should have been the one to prosper years ago.

I too was molested...by a male. He is currently living the life of luxury, surrounded by wealth and hot women, and is viewed as a great and noble hero of society.

Keep in mind that most of these people are NPCs. This world is not what you think it is... Most of the successful people are not real, and only exist to give us either jealousy or motivation...

Elon Musk is non-NPC, you how I know this?

I wouldn't say I'm asexual or even aromantic. I've just decided that, at least for me, a relationship is more trouble than it's worth and that I'd get more enjoyment out of having extra "me" time, disposable/saveable income, etc. But I'm sure the desire will be a lot stronger in some people than others.

I have actually thought about the possibility that we are in a Matrix-style simulation, but said simulation is basically a futuristic society's version of school. Elements of this world teach you to want certain things, fear certain things, learn certain things, and act/think a certain way. Not sure if they would have a pass/fail criteria, maybe they do want to see if you pose a danger to their society though.

That theory seems a bit silly.
What did you mean exactly by successful people not being real/being NPCs then? Sounds to me like a matrix theory of some sort.
Elon musk believes it is a simulation, and so do I. Just your particular idea of what type of simulation it is, seems a bit silly.

Why else would the simulation be created do you think?

Not really sure. We could be victims of some prior civilizations who wanted to find the origins of their universe, so they created a fake universe, not caring that actual beings might exist in this universe they made.

Or this world could be because we were bored and needed to have some kind of challenge, so we created this planet.

There is also this theory called Ancestor Simulation ... which is the idea that an advanced civilisation becomes capable of creating realistic virtual minds, which receive realistic signals of an environment into them. If advanced enough "alien" beings exist, then the number of virtual minds would likely vastly outnumber the amount of non-virtual minds (or so the argument goes), implying that it is much more likely that we are simulated than not. Using these virtual minds these advanced beings could try to answer some basic scientific questions like: "How did our own species behave at more primitive times?", "How likely is an intelligent species like us to evolve at all?", "How likely was it that we managed to reach the technological level that we ultimately got to?", etc ...

EDIT: Ah, ok ... you already mentioned the possibility that they wanted to study their origins ... missed that.
